Oh, I have lost my buddies. I know I had 3 but for some reason, I have "lost" them. LOL!! I asked 3 members to buddy up with me but for some reason, maybe it's the holidays, I have seemed to have forgotten who they were. I appologize whole heartly!!!!
If you still want to be my buddy, please let me know. I have recently gone through some sad personal times and DO NOT want to look like a holiday turkey!!!!!!! I really need someone to keep me motivated at this time.

Hey--I'll be your buddy if you like! I sure could use the support and have someone to talk to. I need to lose 20 pounds and am really having a struggle. What plan are you using? Tell me about yourself... Marion

Hello Marion!
Well, I have about 39 pounds to lose, give or take a couple. LOL! I am 41 but look & feel like I'm in my late 20's. I actually am very motivated but recently lost my grandpa about 1 1/2 weeks ago and felt depressed. I don't want to go to food for comfort. I am doing well...I only ate 2 small....VERY small, peices of fudge. So I guess that's good.

I am on the "Diabetic Diet" program. Yes, I am diabetic but my sugars are under control by meds so having that fudge was okay. I see a nutritionist 1X a month and get my blood drawn every 3-6 months...depending on the results. I am energetic, LOVE to go for walks, I do DDR with my kids and "hip-hop" around with my daughter. I do have arthiritis which I have had since I was diagnoised when I was 19. I have bad days but still try to move around to ease the pain.

You can PM me for my e-mail...I would love to keep in touch with you and motivate each other!

Have a Merry Christmas!

Hi!

I will be your buddy too!!! I had two really good buddies here and they recently simultaneously disappeared. I guess it is the holidays but for me this is when I need the most encouragement.

I am a 34 year old mom of 2 and also feel like I am in my 20's. I have about 30 lbs to lose. I would like to loose a bit more but don't want to end up with too much extra skin or something. I am not using any particular plan but have made up my own based on what I like about different diets.

Hi Cat!!!
I am just getting ready to sit down and eat my Christmas dinner with my family. I know how appealing all that food looks when you sit down at the table. Overwhelming feeling comes over me to eat a bit of everything. Well, this is what I do everyday. 1/2 hour to 15 minutes before lunch and dinner, I drink an 8 oz. glass of cold ice water. I am telling you this has worked for me! Try it and see what it does for you. It took me 2 days to get use to the idea of doing this.

Be careful on your portions. Think in your head " a cup." A cup is usually a serving size for most food portions. Eat a peice of pumpkin pie instead of apple or cherry...pumpkin is a good source of potassium and is loaded with fiber.

Have a good Christmas!!

Hiho... ok, I guess we're off! I have arthritis, too, Emerald. I've had it since in my 20's. Aren't we the lucky ones. I'm 59, by the way, but very young for my age, in heart and mind. (looks too). I'm only 5' tall so every pound counts. I got your addy, so I'll be in touch. Time for meds and bed. Marion

Marion, Arthiritis has gotten me down in the past. I REFUSE to let it get me down again!! Everyday, I move and I mean MOVE to "grease up" the old bones! LOL!! I'll be awaiting your e-mails!!

Cat, I had a very quite Christmas...too quite! I am proud to say, I didn't over eat and I had 1 peice of pumpkin pie!!!! Didn't eat anything more until this morning for breakfast.
I hope you had a wonderful day too! You too Marion! I hope everyone had a good day!
