Default SAHM looking for a buddy who has around 50 lbs to lose.....

Hello,

My name is Melanie, nice to meet you all

I am 25 years old, a stay at home mom, married for 4 years with one baby boy who is a year and a half. I have struggled with my weight for most of my adult life. I have 45 to 50 lbs to lose and just started doing so by keeping my daily caloric intake between 1,600 and 1,900 and a mixture of walking and doing Tae Bo.

I am looking for a weight loss buddy who would want to correspond often in order for us to motivate, encourage & hold each other accountable. It would be nice if this person had a similar lifestyle so we could connect.

I have been on numerous diets before, but my mind set is extremely different now - I don't just want to do this, I HAVE to do this for myself!

Please let me know if you'd be interested in teaming up with me to achieve a goal of losing around 50 lbs.

I posted this intro in the support forum yesterday ... guess I should have done it here:

Hi! My name is Jeanne. I am soon to be 34 (7/28) and I have about 50 lbs. that I would like to get rid of. I have 2 children, a 3 yr. old girl and a 12 wk. old boy. I lost all my pregnancy weight, but I had lots to lose before I got pregnant.

I have tried WW and Atkins in the past. Although I did lose, I didn't keep it off. This time around I am going to take my knowledge about eating (after all, I KNOW what I am SUPPOSED to eat, I just don't do it) and make better choices. I also am going to add more exercise to my lifestyle. I have lived a pretty sedentary lifestyle for much of my life, but last week I finally got myself back into the gym and took some classes. I am aiming to get to the gym a couple of times a week and use my treadmill a couple of days per week also.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and hope we can be "losers" together!

I could have practically written the post by Jjeanne. Except that I have a 2.5 year old boy, and a 7 week old boy. I also tried other diets pre pregnancy and lost, but couldn't stick with it. I am down to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I still have more to lose. I just turned 34 on the 12th of July... I am right now at 210, and I want to get to 155 by February 1st. If either of you would like to be my buddy (or we could have a trio!!), please let me know...

Hi Jeanne & Jill,

So nice to hear from both of you I never realized how challenging it could be to try to lose weight while also being a mommy! You really have to time everything out in order to be successfull. The only time I can really exercise is during his nap or if I go walking with my neighbor in the morning and he's in his stroller. Preparing meals while he is getting into everything or while he is holding onto my leg is also a challenge.....LOL! But I guess when you really want something, all the hard work is worth it, huh?

Just curious.....where do both of you live? I am from the central coast of California.

It's up to you ladies......we could do a trio support/buddy system - what do ya think? It might be nice because if one of us can't get to an email soon enough, the other probably can, ya know?

I have been married for 10 years, I have a 6 year old, and I am a stay at home mom.
I am 5'6'' and I weigh 180. I would like to loose 50 lbs.

I am on the Weight watcher plan. I just started.
