Default a newbie fatchick

Hi all, I'm 37 and at my highest I was 300 lbs. It has taken me a couple of years to lose 101 lbs and I'm now at 199 lbs. I still want to lose about 50 more lbs. I am newly seperated from my husband (his choice not mine) I have 3 kids 18,12,and 2 1/2. Once I lose the 50 lbs I will be able to get my breast reduction and skin removal... I just can't wait!

I'm starting my life over and can use all the support I can get. I would love to meet some gals with some of the same issues I have.

Hi Tiffany,
You are such an inspiration!!! I would love to buddy up. I am 37 till October. I started this about 5 weeks ago. I am changing my eating habits and working out 5 to 6 days a week. I just started tennis lessons. I used to play allot when I was younger but I am so out of shape. I can't wait to be 199. You have lost allot of weight. How are you doing it? I have two boys 16 and 13 and have been married for 19 yrs. I am so sorry about you and your husband. Was it the weight loss? I think my hubby is glad because of health but I know he feels alittle insecure.
Anyway, I am 13 hrs ahead but I would love to support each other.

I had gastric banding 2 years ago and lost 53 lbs the first year, then it all stopped. The rest of the weight I have lost has been by working out atleast 5 days a week. I jog 2 miles (very slowly my girls tend to get out of control if you know what I mean) or I do aerobics or a body combat class. I also lift weights 3 times a week. It's alot of work but very worth it. My husband didn't leave me because of the weight loss, he is military and got a taste of what being single was like while he was away at a nco school for a couple of months. But enough of that lol....I would love to have you as a buddy, it's so much easier to get the job done when you know you are not alone!

Thumbs up New Member as well

Hi Tiffy and Vicky, I'm new to this forum as well.I joinedJenny Craig last week and lost 10 lbs the first week. I was on the program 20 years ago and did well so I'm hoping for the same this time. I'm 44 yrs old, married with 4 children and onegrandson. I have another grandbaby due in December. My starting weight was 249 and currently 239 with a goal weight of 170 (which is as small as I can ever remember being). We'll see after that.

Tiffy...so sorry to hear about your breakup..but ike my grandmother always told me...if a man doesn't treat you better than you can treat yourself, then you're with the wrong man. Anyway, don't let it stop you in your quest to be fit.

Vicky...niceto see you here all the way from Okinawa.I live in SOuthern California...a long journey, as is this weight loss challenge. But, together I know we can all succeed.

Hope I can join you guys as buddies....take care...Friday(Nancy)

Welcome Nancy,
Go to quick links then signature, then make one, then it should appear if it doesn't then highlight it then copy and paste ,make sure it is the one that is used for post not emails. I hope this helps, just play around till it works. I am glad to have another buddy, lord knows having support is one of the keys.
Tiffany,
I too am married to a military guy, I have had so many friends go through the same thing. We are stationed in Okinawa. He is navy but we are at an airforce base. We love it here.
So, what are ya'll doing with food and when do ya'll weigh in. By the way, I am originally from Ga.

I am on the Jenny Direct program where everything is done via telephone and mail. My foodcomes right to my door. This weekend is going to be another challenge. We have a Texas Hold-em game here at our house tomorrow night with 30 guys coming over to play. My hubbywent out andbought a bunch of junk food for them. I'mkeeping it all hidden so as not to be tempted. Then Sunday we are having a barbeque for my mom's 73rd b-day...that one shouldnt be too hard, i'm hoping anyway. I started almost 5 weeks ago after a doctor visit. I was feeling bad and found out my sugar, bloodpressure, and chol. was high. I begged for no meds and to give me time to get the weight off. I am on maxide for blood pressure but want to get off of that soon. I work out about 6 days a week. I do the treadmill and bike at night at the gym. I have have had a week of tennis lessons which is killing me in the heat. I only drink water, I don't eat after 8:30 at night. I eat three meals a day. I eat light or ff products and I eat a snack at 4 and 2 snacks at night. For meals I eat on a small pretty plate to help with portion control. I am not dieting but trying to change my life forever. I have lost weight fast, I know it will slow down but I have found the exercise to be the key. It curbs my cravings. I have had fastfood once in a month because the power went out. I had a grilled chicken sandwhich.I have been a fastfood addict so I am trying to stay clear of it. I will treat myself sometimes.Maybe once a month but I need to get the chol. down.
Speaking of poker my hubby loves it. Only for fun. Glad you got the ticker working.Stay strong this weekend.

I weigh myself every other sunday and once a month at the gym. I'm not due for another weigh in until next weekend. Sometimes I just can't help myself and a weigh myself more often which just isn't a good thing for me.

I wish I could only weigh every two weeks but I can't wait till Monday to see how I have done. I know there will be days that I will not lose. Ya'll will have to help me not get disappointed.
So, Tiff tell me about the surgery and afterwards I have always wanted to know what it is like.
