I've been lurking for some time now and finally have decided to do something about my out of control weight (5'3", 200+). I am almost done with week one of Bob Greene's Total Body Makeover. I feel fairly fantastic about doing all this exercise and would love to find a buddy or (buddies) to help keep my motivation up when things get rough and to chat and exchange info on how the program is working out.
I am 30, a grad student (school has just made me eat more than ever), married with no kids (except my dog and cats). My short term goal is to finish up week 1, my medium-term goal is to finish all 12 weeks and my long term goal is to run a marathon!
I have been dieting on and off for the past 10 years, losing weight and then gaining it all back (with some added pounds). I remember that one of the first diets I went on (Jenny Craig's) I was horrified because I weighed 165! Now I see that as a welcomed improvement
.This time I want to do it once and for all.
