I just signed on to this board and looking for some help. I'm really tired of trying to lose weight and gaining instead. I'm 5'4 and about 175lbs. I would really like to lose around 40lbs but would be happy with 20-30. Everytime I talk about losing weight with friends and family, they seem to always make it worse. Any support would be greatly appriciated.

Michele- Don't let friends and family discourage you. I know that is easier said then done. I have about 35 pounds to loose as well. I am also 5'5. With my body frame 145 pounds or a size 9-10 look great on me (especially since I have had two kids within the last few years). I have never had a weight problem until I gave birth to my second child and I haven't loss much weight since that, he is now 1 1/2. Anyway I have a thread on Buddy Up called 30 with 30 to loose- I just started it and your welcome to post there as well. I just joined this site as well and have already met some nice encouraging women. I feel like I'm not alone on this weight loss journey. Good luck with your loss!
