I was just weighed last week at my son's WIC appointment, and to my horror I haven't lost any of my baby weight since he was born (he's 9 months now). I saw someone at breastfeeding.com with one of 3FC's tickers in her sig, so here I am.
I've never been a skinny girl. My prepregnancy weight was 225. I weigh 278 now, and I can't keep living like this. I'm only 21 years old! I'm sluggish and tired all the time, I never get out of the house because I'm a SAHM with no car (my DP has the car when he works), and I feel guilty that I don't have the energy to play with my son.
So this has gone on long enough! I am going to lose this weight!
I'm starting out slow. Yesterday I put my DS in a sling and went for a 20 minute walk. I was already starting to get tired and sweaty
So for now, I'm going to walk 20 minutes every morning for the rest of the week, and then next week I'll up it to 30 minutes every morning. And no more soda and tea for me! I'm going to stick to water and skim milk. No more sausage for dinner, no more mac and cheese (which will be hardest on my DP--he loves his mac and cheese, but he said he'd change with me).
I really want to make some drastic changes in our diets, but I'm not sure where to start?
BTW, I'm breastfeeding, so I can't really go low-fat totally.
But I'm here to learn and hopefully lose these pounds! My longterm goal is to lose 130lbs by May 2007. My short term goal for now is to lose 15lbs by my 22nd birthday, in July.
