Just joined up.....
Hi, I guess this is the place to post intros? My name is Louise and I have been living in Upstate NY for 7 years, although I am from England. I am married with 4 sons.
I decided last year that I really needed to make my health a priority, so I started low carbing and working out at Curves. Over the course of 2004 I lost 60 lbs, but I still have about 30 lbs more to go. I seem to have been stuck at the same weight for months, so I recently switched to Weight Watcher's and I also joined a regular gym as I had grown bored of the same old routine at Curves. I am hoping for inspiration and encouragement as I struggle to lose these last 30 pounds! I also have hypothyroidism and am over 40 yrs, so I feel as though the odds are not stacked in my favour. Looking forward to getting to know you all :) . |

Congrats on your weight loss! You are inspiring! I just joined 3FC and saw your posting and had to say hi. Not exactly sure how all this works. I am married with 3 sons, living in Michigan, formerly from Buffalo, NY area and in my 40's. I want to lose 30 pounds by August. That is my goal. Just got the Jorge Cruise weight loss book and am starting on Monday.

How old are your sons? Mine are 14, 11, 8 and 3 (I don't know what I was thinking having a teenager and a toddler in the house at the same time! :dizzy: ) and they certainly keep me busy. We have about the same goal- 30lbs. Good luck with starting your diet- What is the Jorge Cruise book like? |
Hi, i just started also, i just recently got a personal trainer and i hope he will get me on a regular schedule.

Hi Jessicamt! I think a personal trainer will help you so much- will your program be at a gym? I have a trainer at the gym I go to and he has been wonderful! At first I was embarrassed at the whole thought of it but I think the right trainer is incredibly motivational.
