Hi, I am so not good at this thread stuff, tried before and can't get anything to go how I need, but anyway, I am in desperate need for weight loss buddies. I am 47 years old with a 6 year old. I have gained 50 lbs in the last 1 1/2 years and now can't wear anything! I live with a skinny man who doesn't seem to gain any weight, bless his heart! Keep trying to lose and seem to gain with each diet. Lost over 100 lbs with SugarBusters when daughter was born but my metabolism seems to have changed. I live in Florida where it is still hot but try to walk each day in job. So much need buddies in this lonely trek of mine. Please help!

Kate welcome you have come to the right place just browse around in the support groups I am sure you will find one that can give you the support rhat you need if you need a E mail buddy will be glad to right noe I envey you living in Flordia as Ohio has dipped low temp right now we are having some of the weather you had this summernot as bad as you guys had but a lot of floods and many roads closed so any time you want to talk I am here have a great day Rita

It was sweet of you both to write, I feel there are so many things going on in here and while I know my away around software programs and my computer I can't seem to figure out how to get things on these threads right, like the code showing. Anyway, you can have Florida and the constant Sun. It is nice but I miss the seasons and now at 47 (young 47) I have hot flashes and it never cools off here. We are moving to Idaho in spring/summer and can't wait for seasons again.

I will be your buddy. You can definately achieve your personal fitness goals. It seems daunting and impossible at times, but never forget that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to.

I know what you mean about partners that don't gain weight. Sigh, I have tons of friends who eat like food is going out of style, and yet don't gain a pound. But if I even think about food, I tend to gain weight!! Ha!!

It can be done. Just realize that the weight may not come off as quickly as we would like it to. Just focus on eating healthy and incorporating some exercise such as walking.

I have never been to Florida, but hear it is beautiful. Why not take walks during the day time when it is safe (are there more alligators during the evening?) and brightly lit.

Keep up the good work, you can do it!!
