Looking to lose a Lot! Need a Buddy!
Hi!
My name is Jacque, I'm 21 years old and horribly over weight! I've tried numerous times to lose weight and failed! Now that I have a wedding in six months I am more motivated than ever to lose weight! I would love someone to support me, as I support them! Someone to hold me accountable for my daily actions! |
Hi Jacque,
I wish you good luck and i know you can do it! How much are you trying to lose before hte "big day?" I dont have a big day coming up but i need to lose big time! Alicia |
Well, our vow renewal is June 27th and I am just wanting to lose some weight by then! But overall, I have 100 pounds to lose! My longterm goal I know will take a long time to beat! But I'd love to lose at least 30 by June! (I want to be under 200 pounds when we renew our vows)

Do you enjoy exercising at all? What is your biggest downfall?
|
Jacque - I just wanted to wish you the best of luck. If we all keep a positive additude and stay motivated we can all do it.

Exercising isn't really my problem, I've actually been doing plenty of that lately! It's eating that is my problem now... I just can't stop eating! And I can't switch to eating healthy, it's not working for me ;)

First off, you might benefit from keeping a journal of what you eat, when, and how you're feeling when you do. It may be something that triggers you to eat: ie: when you're bored. And if you know what triggers it, you can do something about it. I noticed I eat when I'm tired and trying to keep awake. For instance, today, we had to be at an early appointment but didn't get to bed until late last night. Rather than try and stay awake and eat my way through the day, I took a long nap. And I've managed to stay at 1300 calories today. Generally though, if it's too early to go to bed, and yet I'm tired, I can find myself snacking a lot just before bedtime. Secondly, how about when you try to eat healthy? How long do you stick with it? Exactly what are you actually eating when trying to eat healthy? Many people think that if they eat salads and fat free dressing 24/7, that's healthy. It's the same diet I was on many times. The one that always failed. Because you eventually grow sick of salad. And fat free isn't all it's cracked up to be. There are good fats. And we need some fats in our diet. So each person's idea of "eating healthy" may vary. What exactly did you eat when you tried this? |
almostheaven,
Thank you so much for your thoughts! I am going to start a journal...that's for sure :D And i'm stopping buying junk food all together! |

Jacque. Since you have a computer. Try keeping track of everything at www.fitday.com It had a free website where you can go and enter what you eat. You can even put in the foods you eat if you don't see them in the lists . I have had tons of issues with eating to much or not eating healthy. It's hard work and make yourself eat what you need to that is healthy. I am always around if you need someone to talk to and you can PM or email me anytime.. email address is [email protected]
