Looking to lose twenty-six pounds
Hi Everyone,
I stumbled across this wonderful site while looking for weight-loss support. I am thirty-four, 5'6" and 156 lbs. Was very physically active (gymnastics instructor for ten years) up until three years ago when I became very ill, had a couple of operations, and spent about six months with severe chronic pain. When my health improved, I found that my formerly tough-as-nails gymnastics bod had lost much tone as well as putting on pounds that would have been burned off with my old physical activity level. I don't know this poor, soft body anymore (meant in a compassionate way).
I want to begin a sensible, gradual process of getting into shape, and I'm going to need help - which I'm also happy to give. I am fairly active, but I'm just coming off of three years of carrying myself fairly gingerly. I'm not so interested in diet as I am exercise. Is there anyone out there who has a similar weight-loss goal and would like to be buddies?
