New from Minnesota ~

  • Hi my name is Natalie. I am 39 years old and have two children ages 10 and 15. I have been happily married for 17 years. My hubbies nickname for me the entire time we have been together is 'slim'. Someday, I will be just that.

Last year, I hit my top weight of 191#. I knew I was fast approaching the 200 mark and was bound and determined that that was not going to happen. I began exercising last November and quickly lost 28 pounds. I managed to maintain that loss until July of this year when I put 8 back on.

I am a big fan of Fall and cooler weather and well, since I live in Minnesota.....I think that is a good thing....LOL I am happy to say that I have lost 4 pounds since starting to exercise again 3 weeks ago and am down to 167#.

I have always said that I had two plans. Plan A: Weigh less than the hubby; Plan B: 'fatten him up'....lol.....well, I'm just kidding of course. Plan A is my goal.

My favorite types of exercise are kickboxing, walking and WATP tapes.

I look forward to losing more weight and meeting a few new people in the process.

    ~ Natalie
  • Welcome Natalie!! I am soo glad you joined..We can and will lose this weight together and as I've always promised..I'll be here to cheer you on along this journey to a new and "SLIM" you..YAY!!!
  • Hi Natalie!
As you know I LOVE WATP's! They are my favorite tapes! I know you can do it and we'll keep each other motivated!
  • Hi Nat, well I am from Minnesota too. We have had such a strange summer for weather this year, it was alright for walking though because it was cooler and the skeeters weren't to bad. I have been, for two weeks now doing my Leslie Sansong
walking for the abs tapes. Last week I did the 1 mile tape two times a day. This week I do the 1 mile in the morning, and when I get home from work the 2 mile one. The nice thing was the 2 mile one wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... I have so much more energy and just feel good. I have to argue with myself once awhile in the mornings, but I have been doing it. I have made excuses my whole life, no more. I have to be true to myself and my body.. Well enough about all that, I have 2 lbs to go to get to onederland.. I sure could use some support, and would be willing to give some too. I have a heck of a lot of raking to do for some bonus exercise..
    Talk at you later.
  • Hi, Natalie! I am from Minnesota and just joined this message board hoping to get some support for my diet goals. I am going on a cruise in January and would love to really enjoy it and feel good about myself in a bathing suit for once in my life. I am 34 and weigh 155 pounds and I am 5'8. Statistically not that bad of stats but truth be told, I have arms and legs like Ernie and Bert and a stomach like Elmo. I am thinking of joining TOPS and really trying this time to get rid of this stomach. I am looking forward to learning a lot from others!
  • Lisa4peace - hi there, i was just wondering which cruise line you are taking in January? We are going on the Norwegian Jewel embarking Jan. 8th.

I am trying to lose 20 pounds (well, 18 now - hooray) before we go. I am only 5'4" and currently weigh 148.

I do not know what TOPS is, but good luck with it.
  • Hi Lisa,
I was really surprised to ear someone had emailed. It has been almost a year now since the last reply.. Any way my Mom has been with tops for quite a few years and it has helped her. She is even to her goal weight. But still keeps going.
I have done very well this summer, I was up to 220 this spring and am now down to 194. This is mostly from just eating a litlle healthier and working alot.
Your stats really don't sound to bad, but of course it depends where it is all stored.
Where are you going on your cruise this winter? I have never been on one. Well I have to get ready for work, hope to hear from you soon.
