I've beenoverweight all my life my smallest was 197 when I was a senior and that put me into a 16-18 now three years later I'm an 18/20 I'm pushing 240 and I'm trying to lose at 40 but my doctor says 75. Well I'm trying to start off slow and by changing my eating habits drinking more water and fruit juices. I also joined a gym so I can go workout on my days off of work. But I really don't know how to diet that's where a buddy comes in.

hey again! fruit juices? the packaged ones?? better if it's fresh. so glad you joined a gym...i'll be joining one once i lose 10 pounds ..[which is like 3 lbs to go]. Just start by introducing some changes into what you eat. Switch from sugars to natural sugars...that means more fruits. Change white flour products to whole grain products. Whole or soneground wheat breads, pasta, etc. Brown rice instead of white. Add more veggies to your plate and less of the other stuff. Eat more of the leaner meats like chicken and turkey, minus the skin. Eat smaller meals, but more often...like 5 or 6 times a day. Never skip a meal either.
And drink lots of water! Try and drink 8 glasses a day. I am not a water lover, but I can drink cold filtered water.
I've tried various ways. Bought a Brita pitcher, didn't work. I found the way that works for me is to buy it by the case in the 24 oz. sport pack bottles at Sam's. I can put them in the fridge and have ice cold water at my fingertips in a convenient no spill bottle. No pouring, no looking for a glass, etc. I drink about a case of them a week. LOL
well i bought a 24 pack of aquafina for 4.98 at a discount store and I've been drinking alot more water. I cut out alot of red meat I've been eating more poultry and fish but the hardest part is the night because I stay up so late. And beryl my yahoo is dark_angel_724 you can add me.
