New Here!

Hello all!

I am new to this site; just found it a few moments ago...

I am planning a Vegas Elopement in June, but want to look my best! I knew I had let my weight get out of hand, but stepped on the scale today and WOAH!!! I was in shock.

I decided it's time to do something for my health sake! So here I am... I don't even know how or where to start, but here I am!

Newbie here as well

Hi there,

Im ready to begin a weight loss program as well. I just logged on yesterday as I was checking out this site.
Like you Jacque, I am inspired to begin to lose this unwanted weight for my health as well as a wedding planned next year.

Im on vacation for 8 weeks in the summer and head back to school next week. I feel that its a wonderful time, for this change in my overeating habits.

With that being said...I am not sure of the best approach ...as I've tried and failed in the past.
I have started walking 45 minutes a day....I know that is important.
As for the diet plan...any ideas in how to proceed?

Deb

Hi! I have to tried and failed many times but I have done well with the Dr. Phil plan. It's a lifestyle change and you learn to eat healthier and you stay full. Just thought it would be worth you guys checking into. If anyone is looking for a buddy let me know.

hello girls, welocme to 3fc..... some advice for you...read through as many threads as possible and dont be afraid to ask LOTS of questions...which is what I did when i first started and still do... :) as for me i began my "new life plan" (dont like to call it a diet) on the last day of april of this year....so far so good...i knew i wouldnt be able to stick to any plans that were too restricted like low carb....so i asked around and found that a lot of people here on this site count calories.....so thast what i decided to do....i just keep my calories around 1200-1400 a day and allow myself 1 or 2 "free" meals a week, soi dont feel like i am losing anything, i use fitday.com to journal what i eat daily and it keeps me accountable for how many calories i am consuming, i also joined a gym last month and it feels great...i have so much more energy now than i used to ...... so thats my plan, but everyone needs to find one that fits there own life, i wish you good luck on your journey......

Hi Jacque, Deb, Angie & Hippichic!!

Welcome Welcome Welcome!!!

Hippichic made some very good suggestions....browsing around, checking out all the other threads, and never hesitate to ask questions. Everyone here is more than happy to help and give support.

As for diet plans...you just have to search for something that you know will work for you. Research it and see if it's something that you know you can do and stick to. Because what works for someone else, doesn't necessarily mean it will work for the next person. (I know from experience!) There are so many successful stories on this site which really helps to inspire!

Just wanted to pop in and welcome you all to 3FC...including you hippichic since you still are a little new!

Hope to hear more from you girls!
