Hi, this is my first post, my name is Alison. I'm 17 years old on and turning 18 in early august. I'm starting college in that fall and want to go back looking and feeling better than I do right now and I want to start the new school year in New York City off with a new/healthy lifestyle.
I currently weigh around 240 and have bounced up and down all through highschool. I've tried many diets, but can't seem to stick on one when left on my own. One of my main problems everytime I try to lose weight, is the fact that no one knows what/when I eat, or if I'm gaining or loosing. I think that if I have a buddy, we can keep each other in check, weigh in with eachother and discuss good/bad choices that either of us have made.
I'm looking for a younger person (but anyone will be greatly appreciated), hopefully one that is dealing with being overweight in college, that feels the same way I do. When I am left on my own I feel that it is harder to keep myself on the road to success and hopefully learning to do that with someone will help me reach my goals and help them reach theirs while at the same time subconsciously making a healthier attitude my new way of life.
If you are interested in being a support buddy for me, and would like me to be one for you, please let me know through e-mail, or a reply to this post, or a private message. I have been to weightwatchers, and lost a lot of weight there (which I gained back) and will be using a variation of their program to try it on my own. I know how to lead a healthier life, I just have trouble doing it! If you would like to mutually help eachother, please let me know, I would so much appreciate it.
Also, on a side note, is anyone here from NYC? I'm going to school at NYU and maybe you could give me some tips as for ways/places to excercise, or healthy restaruants! thanks so much in advance!!
