Smile Howdy from Upper Peninsula of Michigan!

Howdy all! New Member here!
Started my diet last Friday June 18, 2004.
Have a goal of 100 lbs.
SW: 293
Am motivated to succeed I have started a daily log of what I eat, calories, sugar & fat. My doctor said my fat and sugar intake are my biggest problems. I will not lie it is hard to get away from the sweets. I was eating them everyday, sometimes 2 to 3 times a day. I work at nite, so I have had to adjust my eating habits accordingly. Have joined your forum to get motivation help for excersise and healthy eating. Possibly a buddy to help me along the way too!
Thanks again for this great web site, I look forward to chating to all! Good Luck on your goals!
Drink that water....YUMMY!

Kindest Regards,
Buffy!!!

Hello and welcome Buffy. Marti what kind of dog are you holding in the picture? Yes drink that water. I usually flavor mine with lemon when it gets too bland. My husband and I are trying to reach our goal weights in about a year from now, hopefully sooner, but I'll be happy when we can do it. My current highest weight was 209 and my goal is to get back to 130 and through determination, prayer and the encouragement from all you good people I will succeed. Have a blessed evening. Know that I pray for everyone on this site daily. God Bless

Praytherosary--She's a chihuahua. And an sweet one too.

Good luck to you and your husband on the weightloss. I think it's absolutely wonderful that he has joined you to do this. Makes it so much easier to have someone by your side! I would also like to reach my goal within a year. I want to allow myself time to make sure I keep the healthy habits I get into and also, when I lose slowly (which has been really slow lately ) it tends to stay off.

Take care
Marti

I know what you mean, my body loves it's fat so much that it really hates to let any of it go. We have a rat terrier and she is spoiled rotten, but she loves for us to take her walking, but the weather has not been on our side and it's looking worse until the end of next week, so we'll have to take it one day at a time.
Buffy how are you doing? Please let us know. Well, girls must get ready for work. Have a blessed day. God Bless

Howdy All,

Buffy here doing pretty good so far. Thanks for all the welcomes so far.

Hey Rar my cholestroal was at 202 and I started eating Oatmeal 1 cup cook after I got home from work, with a tsp of brown sugar. It fills the void and helps to get my cholestroal down too. I had to find a way to incorporate it into my diet. Makes it easier for me to go to sleep also, warm yummy tummy feeling! I consider it my breakfast, than when i wake up its Lunch time and I eat sensibly and have a nice supper late in the evening. My first week is coming to an end and I can already tell the differance it is making. I am on a 1500 calories or less diet, 50 grams of fat total a day, which is about 30%.

Hey girls I have my kids too, 1 dog and two cats. Buddy who is 11 and Jazzy and Hydey who are 3.

They keep me busy too!

Take care now...be talkin with yas!

Drink that Water Yummy!

Buffy!!!

Talking I'm on my Way!!!

Howdy Girlies!

I feel good today...its weigh in and measurment day for me. I lost 10# in my first week....where are my BOOBS! LOL I am Pumped!!! I lost 1 1/2" in my breast size and 3" in my cup size. Losing 1 1/4" about my waist and 3" on my BUTT WOOOHOO!!! My Dairy for calorie, fat and sugar intake is really doing the trick! And I am getting more excerise by keeping track of it in my Diary. I am on a 1500 calorie or less diet allowing for 50g of fat a day. I have limited my sugar intake to under 50g also. Sweets was a big crutch for me. I am trying to break the chain and eat healthy. I am motivated and appreciate all who help me along the way.
A Special Thanks to my hubby who is helping and eating the oatmeal with me everyday...when he is here LOL! He is and Over the Road Truck Driver.
Congrats to Pray and here Hubby for their success also WTG!!!
Take Care all!!!

Drink that Water Yummy!!!

Buffy!!!
