Hello!! New Here✨🙃
Hello!!! My username is Xerai, I am in my mid 40s, I am a female with one teenaged son💖 I have been overweight most of my childhood and obese most of my adult life. I was on a medication that causes weight gain for two years (2021-2023) and gained 128 lbs😳 which is even more than what my normal weight should be. My highest weight was 378 lbs 😭 and since I came off the medicine last October I have lost 35 lbs and currently weigh 343 lbs. I usually lose weight more quickly but need medication adjustment and my pain management doctor's office is a follow-up failure so they still have not sent the prior authorization for Ozempic 🙄 since it was first prescribed in March.
I just wanted to list some of my health conditions. I became diabetic because of that medication with an A1C of 6.5 and blood sugar level of 110, All of my life my blood sugar was 70-80 even though I was obese. I am currently on Metformin but it does not really help me with weight loss although it has given me back a positive life energy I have not felt since my early 30s. I was a size 16 when I started those meds, now I am a size 22 (4XL-5XL). Whenever I weigh more than 250 lbs I experience chronic lower back pain. For years the pain was so debilitating and I could barely do anything but since coming off those meds, the pain medication is more effective and I can do so much more now. I was also restricted from walking on doctor's orders because of leg injuries from a really bad car accident that happened about a year ago, but am now able to walk again although still not fully healed from the accident.
Normal weight for my height is 116 lbs, so that is my end goal. Short term goals are to lose 20 lbs by July, to get up to 15 minutes on the treadmill by the end of the week and 30 by the end of the month. I plan to exercise everyday as my lifestyle is mostly sedentary and it is more difficult for me to startup everyday when I give myself breaks. Plus 15 mins of walking everyday is really not that much 😋. Calorie goals are 1200 per day set by my doctors. with higher protein and I am giving up chocolate for a few months to curb sweets binging.
Happy to be here💖
