Taking Action

  • Hello everyone,
    I have decided to finally take action against my unhealthy relationship with food. I have a hard time when it comes to dealing with food in moderation and eating healthy foods. I am coming here looking for encouragement, support and advice during creating this new life style for myself.
    A little about myself, I got clean from drugs and alcohol about 4 years ago and at that time I turned to food as my new coping mechanism and even though my job is helping people to overcome unhealthy coping mechanisms I cannot seem to pull myself away from this one.
    I look forward to talking to many of you and taking in as much advice and support thoughout my time here.

    I have the same goal myself. Any enlightening moments since you posted your introduction?

    I find my binging occurs at night when I feel lonely and have an opportunity to process the day’s stressors. Keeping myself occupied and going to bed earlier has helped me so far.
