Cool One meal a day diet

Hi my name is LaDawna and I'll be trying the one meal a day diet.

Starting tomorrow I'm starting a one meal a day diet. It is a type of intermittent fasting diet. Its where you have one big filling meal a day and fast for 24 hours until the next day up until that time. I know it will take a couple of weeks probably to get used to. I've tried to start this type of diet before and I know it would work. But I guess I give up in the sight of temptation or when I feel hungry.

Backstory about me. I used to eat meat and dairy an all american diet. I no longer eat meat, and have ate some dairy that's why ive gained some weight back. I did lose to 190 pounds during the summer before I moved to texas and started a teaching assistant job. I was stressed, alone, and busy during that time. So I ate fast food vegan and also dairy. So really I was vegetarian to be honest. Eating dairy and junk like french fries, chips, pasta, rice I gained weight. When I moved back to Oklahoma with my family I gained weight also because I haven't had a job and their diet is not a good influence on me. I usually eat better while living alone. So here I am. Back to the weight I was when I ate meat and dairy. Back to 212. My heaviest weight was like 220 I believe. But I've also stayed at 212 before also.

I want to get to my goal weight of 175 because I want to be lighter or around the same weight of my boyfriend. I don't know how I would look being that weight because its been so long. But I know I would be more confident. I want to get to this weight because its time to feel good about my body again. Its time to love myself again. And plus all my friends are thin and beautiful. I want to get married someday and if I'm at my goal weight I would feel comfortable to get married. I don't want to weight until I get engaged to lose the weight. I want to do it now. I've put it off my whole life.

The plan is to eat one filling meal with veggies and possibly fruit towards the end of the day. Maybe potatoes and beans with fruit or veggies. Around 4-5pm. That will be the only thing I eat all day. Then in the morning and afternoon I will drink water or tea to keep me filled enough until I eat. This will give my body a chance to digest my food and to feed off of the fat I have on my body. I've watched some youtubers use this method and it works for them and I think it would work for me. I will not eat meat or dairy during this diet. That's just my preferences. I think it will help because most of the time I eat for pleasure, boredom, and taste. I don't eat to necessarily fuel my body. But if I only eat one meal I will be more likely to consider what I eat during that meal.

I thought I would start this forum/blog online thread thing to give myself something to consistently track my progress with. Even though not many people will probably read it, just the fact that people could will help keep me consistent. I'm not outgoing enough to post on YouTube and blogs haven't helped in the past because no one actually knew about mine or read it. This will help because even if no one reads it it is a forum where I can read others tips/experiences and get motivated from them. I wish you all well. God Bless.

Day one went well. I wasn't able to wait until 4 or 5 to eat. I ate at 2:30. But it was a filling healthy meal. I'm glad for this forum to document everything. It was good. I'm hoping this forum will be the tool I need to keep me on this journey. I'm so glad that omad works for so many of you. I'm glad that you lost like 40 pounds yoyomama.
