Goal Year 2k17
Hello, I am a new member. I have a goal to be at my goal weight (150lbs) by April of 2017. I am currently 90 lbs overweight but I'm not looking to get down to the low range of healthy for my BMI, I think 150 is where I want to be. That puts me at needing to lose 70lbs.
I'm really bad at losing weight. Like, I know how to do it but I'm lazy and kinda have a bit of ADD about dieting, like...I"m going to be good today ohlookadonut. I'm also struggling with a drinking issue. I don't want to call it a problem because it doesn't effect my life negatively except that I probably drink a lot of calories a week.
My neighbor recently lost over 40 lbs on a diet plan and so I am going to give it a try. Its medifast. I ordered the 30 day plan today. Glad to have a bit of support right next door and nervous and excited about the plan. Well, nervous about the plan, excited about the weight loss. I think this plan will be good as it doesn't allow alcohol and that will keep me focused on results of weight loss and not fixated on the not drinking and socializing as much part.
I recently got a fit bit and just joined a challenge with people from work. I don't want to do a ton of "working out" even though I do also have a gym membership. I just generally don't like working out. I know, I sound like a failure looking for the easy way out but I will set a goal to get 15,000 steps every day so at least I know I"m not sedentary. We also are getting standing desks at work this week. Not looking forward to that exactly, its going to be a hard adjustment for me from sitting 8 hours a day behind a computer but at least my company is being proactive about our health as employees.
Anyways, that's me. I'm here now. I'm hoping to find a niche.
