Default Just Starting ...

I had my 5th baby almost 4 years ago. I honestly thought I would have lost my baby weight by now, in the past I lost my baby weight within the first year of giving birth. I should've known this time would have been different though because I was put on bedrest at 6 months and I developed a food addiction that I have not been able to break. It's not like my life is easy either, and it is a big part as to why I am still extremely overweight. My pre-pregnancy weight was 133 pounds (I hadn't been that small my entire life, I worked hard to lose 90 pounds) but I ended my pregnancy at 220 pounds and then after having my son the lowest I got down to was 174 pounds. I am now at 200 pounds and I am just sitting here wondering how it happened, and how food became so important to me.

Hi. I'm new around here, too. I have no words of advice, but want to send hugs. I hope we all get the support we need to get things turned around. My first thought is that I hope you have a wonderful doctor who supports your efforts by checking things like thyroid, adrenal, hormones, etc. I've learned the hard way that most doctors don't dig deep enough to find some things that are "off" and need some expertise in dealing with. If you think you need more medical help - call a local compounding pharmacist and ask them if they can recommend someone. They usually know the doctors that will know how to help, and sometimes they can make some specific suggestions and run tests, too.

Hey Zip Thank you for the support. I actually haven't seen a Dr about my weight. Even though in the past I was overweight I was actually able to lose it with eating healthier and with exercise. I am struggling with both of those now. I am worried that I will never find the motivation to get back down to a size that I am happy with.

Hi, new here too. Just hoping to find some like minded dieters so I don't constantly bombard my friends and family on Facebook with every struggle I gave and goal I achieve!
