Motivation & Accountability!

  • Hello!

    I'm excited to be part of the community. I'm 20, 5' 1, weigh 70.5 kg (~155 lb), and I'm hoping joining this forum will help keep me motivated and accountable. Planning to lose 15 kg (~33 lb) to begin with!

    I decided to begin this journey in December and in the last 4 months I've lost about 3 kg by tracking calories and macros using MyFitnessPal. Based on MyFitnessPal I could have lost much more, and I haven't been able to keep that effort as consistent as I'd like. Visiting home just messes it all up and I haven't been tracking this past week.

    Any advice & comments are appreciated! Sincerely hope that we can all be successful in achieving our goals .
  • Hi! I use MFP as well and it always makes me crazy when it tells you at the bottom that if everyday were like today you'd weight X in 5 weeks. It motivates me in the moment to have good days but it sure is hard to follow through on it. What I've found that helps the most is to be consistent with going on MFP and logging my food and activity even if my day has been really bad. I quit doing it for a long time and didn't go as well. So...I'm back at it and reminding myself that I'm in this for the long haul. I didn't gain the weight overnight and I sure won't lose it that way.
