Hello everyone I am joining this forum as I have a unique dieting situation as far as support so hope this helps. I live literally in the woods of AK about 100 miles from nearest city, so it's just me and hubby and the bears. No support as hubby eats everything( you would think that would help). I'm 57 and have lost 100 pounds about 3 years ago and now I have put back on about 40. Hoping to find that key to getting back on track.
Are you living so remotely that you have taken up hunting and growing your own food? I would love to hear a day in the life from your side of things, as you are living so differently to me (urban apartment setting).
Yes we hunt and grow alot of our food but gardening in Alaska is a big challenge. Never sure of the weather. No we don't live in an igloo. We make our own electric (no power lines in the woods) and heat with wood and coal. It is a good life but probably not what you imagine. I'm not grizzly adams and the dogs chase most of the bears out of the yard.
