Hello, New member here
My name is Cassondra and I am new to this forum.
I have had a weight problem for as long as I can remember, I am 33yrs old (hard for me to admit that) soon be 34 in march. Weighed myself for the first time in years and was unnerved by the number I saw though I thought it was going to be way more but thinking it and seeing it are very different. Let's just say I have 300+ lbs to lose so I know it want be a easy journey.
I want to give a little background info about myself. About 5-6 yrs ago I suffered a pulmonary embolism ( a blood clot in the lung ). It scared me to death and still does because when it happened I started exercising, eating right, and actually lost the weight was starting to feel really good about myself then bam it happened. The reason I waited so long wanting to start a dieting again is for fear it happening again.
That happened 5-7 years ago so I have been having a pity party pretty much waiting to die fearing that the clot would return gaining more weight and more weight in the process. Just think it's time to get my life back and live a little.
Sorry to ramble on.
Thanks for reading and hope you all are having a good new year so far.
