Default Want to buy a smaller sized motorcycle jacket

Hello folks.
I like to ride motorbikes and scooters.
I just bought a hi-visibility jacket in size 2XL. I'm somewhat self-conscious about it since this makes motorists see me (which is good), but they see me (which is bad).
Safety first I tell myself.
I'm hoping to lose 40 pounds. I'm at 240 today at 5'7".

I was on Jenny Craig a few years ago and did lose the 40 pounds.
After 8 years those 40 pounds crept back up.

So back to JC. I started 12 days ago and have lost 4.5 pounds.
Not sure why I started this diet on Dec. 10th, right before the holidays, but I wanted to start and did not want to delay.

I do plan to go off of JC for one day, the 25th. then back on again the next day. I feel that although I go off for one day, I'll make good choices.
Wish me luck.

If it were me, I'd rather people see me on the scooter, and frankly people shouldn't care about your size - they should be happy you are finding enjoyment on your bike and the outdoors. I too had a worry about the size of my bum in relation to my bicycle seat, I then decided, hey I was getting exercise so who the heck cares. Congrats on losing the 4.5 lbs! At this time of year that's a great accomplishment and keep up the good work. Welcome to the site, you'll find all sorts of support here for your journey.

Thank you lemonthyme for your kind words.
Next time I feel self-conscious, your words, "they should be happy you are finding enjoyment on your bike" will resonate in my helmet.
