Default My First Post!

So, where to start... I'm Linda, I'm 49 years old, I live in TN, and I have about 40 pounds to lose. When I turned 49 last December I had this huge plan to spend this year losing weight, exercising, and just getting healthy in general so that I would be my absolute best on my 50th birthday! That hasn't happened. And today I realized that it is now 3 months until my 50th birthday, and I have't really done SQUAT! It's not that I don't know what to do to lose weight and get healthy - Heck, I'm an RN and I could TEACH a class on it! But I am really struggling with maintaining the motivation to do what I know I have to do! I started doing some research online, found this site, and thought I would join up to see if I could find help here.

I am looking forward to exploring this forum!

Linda

Thumbs up

Linda!
From everything I have seen so far on the forum (I am still new too), all of these lovely people are very supportive and helpful. Maybe check out some of the challenges that are out there (chicks up for a challenge sub forum is a good place to look), which keep you accountable.
Good luck and looking forward to seeing your progress!

Linda! As an RN, you know the devastating effects obesity-related diseases like type 2 diabetes and heart disease can have on your health. I just lost my brother this week to type 1 diabetes, and type 2 carries the same deadly consequences. Don't do this for your 50th birthday; do it so you'll have an 80th birthday. I wish you the best! Good luck!
