Just wanted to say hi and let you know I was here lurking, reading, and generally soaking up all the great information on this board. I truly hope it helps and am looking forward to getting to know some of you.
You name it, I've tried it in the weight loss game. I even had gastric bypass surgery but have gained a lot of that weight back. In February I joined a gym and found a great Zumba/dance class that I take 3x a week. Doing that in itself I thought the weight would fly off but no, my body seems to be ultra-specific in what it needs to drop weight.
So, I'm still taking the classes but am trying to incorporate more strength training into my workouts. I also saw a nutritionist for the first time last week and am now recording and measuring everything since portion control is my downfall. She's a big advocate of the Mediterranean way of eating and that, surprisingly, is a diet I've not tried.
