Default I'm here to lose a bit of weight!

Hello all

I am no stranger to weight issues, they seemed to start as soon as my hormones kicked in!

Back in 2007 I lost 5 stone, but it gradually crept back on.

Since 2010, because of a lot of health issues, mostly lung-related, I have been on steroids so I am at my heaviest yet.

Desperately need to lose weigh for health reasons as I find it hard enough to exercise and the excess weight makes it worse.

I asked the doctor for Orlistat today so I hope it helps!

Hi Budgiesareawesome! I had to look up what Orlistat was, and I learned it is the over-the-counter drug Alli here in the States. I do hope it helps you! Good luck!

Hi Jacqui
Yes it's called Alli in the chemist.

But mines prescribed and monitored by my GP surgery.

I really hope it works!

I used orlastat a long time ago, long before Alli. It was called Xenical then.

It helped me a lot, I lost weight quickly. It blocks about 30% of fat you eat.. but if you eat too much fat, it comes out of you like oil in your bowel movement. Good times! lol

you have to see it to believe it... orange oil floating at the top of the toilet bowl.

So it's a good reminder not to over indulge. It's a tool to help you in your new lifestyle of eating, it only works with you sticking to your plan though. Good luck! let us know how it is going.
