What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past:I was considering the sleeve and before surgery I want to give optifast a try. It was what I was required to do for one month before sleeve so I decided to try it first

Anything else you would like to share with us:any and all help, suggestions, advice is greatly appreciated.

Welcome and good luck!!! I've never used optifast so I don't know what to tell you about it but I hope it works for you.

A good thing is to make small change over time instead of big ones all at once. If you drink a lot of sugary drinks try switxhing to water.. Aim to get more walking exercise in a week, like three days a week and build up. Up the veggies or try to go out less. That's what everyone always tells me! Personally, I coutn calories and just practice moderation and proper portion sizes. I don't say no to anything, I just limit it. But the only piece of advice I can give you that I know works is that you got to find what works for you, and don't get discouraged if the first few things you try don't. It doesn't mean that you are bad, or that you can't do it, or you've failed. It just wasn't for your body type

Thanks sense and sensibility! I've tried many in the last 20 years. All I tried worked as long as I did what was required of me.
I'm scared of surgery myself. My Mom had the sleeve and had wonderful results but sadly two years after having it and finally reaching her goal she was killed in a car accident. 😢
I would like to start a daily blog but have no idea what I'm doing. I hope I replied in the right area. This is all new to me. I'm NOT good with moving around sites. This feels like foreign language to me but I know I need support and I'm ready to give any and all I can

I've been here awhile and still don't know entirely what I'm going. But a blog sounds great! And, we have a whole section of people who have opted for surgery. This forum doesn't move lightning fast, but people are always quick to answer questions.
