Frustrated and need help

  • Ok, Hi all, my name is Re and in June of 2010, I had lapband. Things went well for the first 2 years and I'd lost 100lbs and got down to 200, but now for the last 2 years, I've kinda just stopped and gained about 15lbs back. I need to get back on track, but at this point, I'm not even sure how...
So i'm looking for suggestions - anyone had the band done quite some time ago, and how did you get back on track?
    Thanks!
  • Welcome to the forum!

I've heard about that from some other WLS people here. Seems like it's pretty common because there is really a lot of work involved once you have surgery - it only helps you feel full, and doesn't do all the work for you.

The subforum here for WLS people might be helpful. Some of the users here have done such an amazing job, and can provide really good advice and support.
  • Hey there, Re! congrats on the weight loss - and seriously - come and visit the weight loss surgery forum. MANY of us have the same issue. There are a lot of reasons for it - especially with the lapband [does it need an adjustment? have you found your sweet spot?]. Sometimes it's just that we start getting more comfortable with eating, or that we don't exercise enough, or we are under too much stress, or ... or ... or ...

but the important thing is to keep going and to find a way to make it all work together.
