Default Hello

Well here goes nothing.. once again I am going to board the Weight Loss train, the past year I have inherited the homemaker position in our household.... (extra weight now packed on) I have always worked in factories and etc. and on the constant move. Then I got married 5 years ago, packed on the comfortable with the relationship weight, then got divorced.. lost weight yay for me.. then got back together with the ex husband and comfortable weight has fell back on again! I have struggled with my weight loss like mad my whole life, I have always been "thicker" than all my friends, not fat though, but now I am turning to FAT! I have a VERY hard time doing this by myself, I have been on every diet known to mankind I loose 15 pounds then guess what I plateau no matter what I do and give up, well not this time I'm 26 years old I have a long live ahead of me yet, and it needs to be healthy. I feel like I am 100 years old, no energy to do anything....I'm 26 COME ON!!! So here I am 190lbs want to hit a first goal of 145 and see where I can go from there... this time I'm trying the South Beach Diet, I have a huge problem with carbs and binge binge binge on them, so I'm going to try this. Anyways I look forward for great advice, giving advice, and meeting new lifelong friends! We can do this!!!

Welcome, mowglimaye! You've found a great place for support! I don't do South Beach, but there's a bunch of folks here who do and they are an encouraging group. Check them out here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/south-beach-diet-110/

Hi Mowglimaye! Those first 10-15 lbs that you lose, that anyone loses on any diet, is mostly water weight, so although it's exciting to lose, try not to become discouraged when your weight loss slows to a more practical pace, which is usually 2 lbs per week or less. You'll be burning fat so that's great news, and although it will be at a slower pace, if you stay the course, you are going to become thinner and healthier, and that's what it's all about! So good luck! You can do this!
