I have a wedding coming up in a few months and need all the help I can get.

I'm new here and just need some support and motivation. I am hoping to make this a lifestyle change and get my health back on track.

Welcome, XP_Kiragami_XP! I have to quit complaining about the cold if I'm talking to someone from Alaska!

I saw on another thread that you do better with exercise than diet. That's the way I was, too -- the most fit fat person I knew!

I'm a librarian, so I can recommend books that helped me get the diet piece in place:

The End of Overeating by David Kessler is about how our modern food environment makes it so easy to eat unhealthy foods in unhealthy amounts that we have to work harder than it seems necessary to keep things under control.

The books by Judith Beck offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques for sticking to a food plan. Those are some powerful tools for making a lifestyle change that sticks!
