Hello everyone. I was browsing the internet for ways to improve my heath and stumbled on this website. You all are so supportive and celebrate each other every pound of the journey, gained or lost. I am 280/280/150. I am from Middlesex County, NJ; so if anyone is local and would like to walk together, let me know.
I am a single mom to an 18 y/o boy who is a freshman 1 1/2 hours away from home. So that leaves me alone with food.
I am having a difficult time obtaining a job as a nurse, and I cannot figure out any other reason why except because I am soooo overweight. Of course nobody will admit that. This is the heaviest that I have been. the last job before this one that I interviewed for was in 2008 and I was about 45 pounds lighter. I have never had this problem before. Every interview that I have ever gone on before, I have gotten the job. I have gone on tons of interviews because I have a strong background, many more than any of my classmates.
I graduated from nursing school in 2011 with my associates degree. Lots of people told me that it was not because I was fat it is because I do not have a bachelors degree. I kept going to school and obtained my BSN in May and still no job.
I am done with others blowing smoke up my rear that, "you are not that big" or "there is nothing wrong with you". I am ready to take control of myself and my weight. I just need lots of support and i vow to support you back.

I'm glad you found us. You'll find lots of support here! Good luck!
