Soo..I'm new.

  • I am 22 years old, I have two young children and I've been with my fiance for a little over 5 years.

When I first met my fiance I was 16 years old, I watched what I ate and exercised regularly and I weighed between 147-151. Fast forward 5 years and 2 babies later, my weight had gone up to 255lbs. I plan on going down to 125lbs.

I've been on a diet roller coaster and I have recently realized that I need to permantly change what I eat. I use to eat junk food all day long.

I currently weigh 238.8 and it keeps going down

Actually I'm just eating mainly fruits and vegetables and slowly cutting out all processed foods. I guess that would be called eating clean. I do calorie count and drink 2+ liters of water a day.

  • Almost 20lbs down is awesome. And you will have so much more fun with your kids as you get healthier and start to feel better. I use to think exercise was the most important then eating the most important (and for weight loss eating probably is 'more important).

But now I think of weight loss as a three-legged stool: eating, cardio, and strength. When I am doing all three of those well I am unstopable. And they all feed on each other. If I eat well I feel like exercising. If I exercise, I want to eat well to fuel the exercise and not thrwart the effort.

And while my BMI says I am 'obese' still, I feel fantastic, and I can't wait for my annual exam in a few weeks to check on my blood work. I bet it is the best in a decade or more.

Congrats for you starting so young. We only have today and tomorrow. I only wish I had your foresight when I was your age.
