New here. Decided to finally get myself in gear and lose my food baby. Been really over weight the past 7 years basically since I got pregnant and thought I could eat whatever I want... bad idea and I absolutely hate it. Nothing worse than going clothes shopping. Then came reading. Damn you fifty shades of grey! Put on about 2 stone in a year as basically I did nothing but read all time.. I have now cut the reading back to my boyfriends delight!
So I've put myself and my boyfriend on a healthy living plan! (hate the word diet... usually makes me fail!) He only has about a stone to lose though so I thought I would sign myself up here so I had other people to talk too and ask for advice!
Started our new lifestyle at the end of July and I've went down 17lbs so far which I know is probably mostly water weight. Did my measurements and took before photos.... god they are horrible. I dont think I realised how bad it had got until i took those! Definitely has motivated me!
I tried slimming world before and it did work but the family was all eating crap so I then went back to eating crap! Not good! It's very hard to do it yourself. So we are basically on a high protein diet now. I've cut out all sweets, pepsi max (god I miss it) and energy drinks, crisps etc)
Exercise wise i'm jogging/walking/running (mixture of all 3) twice a day and doing weights and sit ups after.
Seems to be working for the moment... hope it doesn't stall!
My goal of sorts... is sorta weird. I want to lose the weight so I can go sky diving and bungee jumping and rock climbing. I loved abseiling and hockey when I was a teenager.. I want that life back, I'm 27 now and I want to do this before i'm 30!!
Hi Muses! You should come over to the monthly weight loss challenge thread in the sub-forum "Chicks Up for Challenge" under Support Groups. We're talkers there too, lol! 17 lbs since the end of July is phenomenal! Some of that would have been water but I highly doubt all of it was. You are doing great! Keep it up! Good luck!
