Hello, I'm sure my story sounds familiar
Hello everyone!
I'm sure that my "story" is a common one. I was a bit chubby as a child, but dieted to maintain a normal weight as a teenager. Beginning in college, my weight started to yo-yo. I've always loved to eat, and loved to overeat! I have three kids, and that hasn't helped my weight either. I was able to lose the weight after the first child. But the second and third were so close together that I hadn't lost any weight in between. I weened my youngest almost a year ago and have only lost 14 pounds.... hardly impressive. (I lost 10, then gained 11, then lost 15. So I'm officially down 14 lbs since I stopped nursing.)
I really think that I have a better chance of keeping the weight off this time. Now that I'm older (early 30's,) I realize that the pounds don't just melt off like they when I was a teen and in my early 20's. I now realize that if I gain weight, it will be hard, hard work to get off! So I think I'm going to lose it and keep it off this time!
