Default Hey there, Delilah.

Hiya.
I am "LucreziaBorgia", a proud pawmother/trainer of a rescue dog. One year ago, I was afraid of dogs - I met one and got used to her so much, I decided to rescue one myself. So, here we are, me sitting on my bed, Sasha waiting for an invitation to climb up.

Joined yesterday, after having been vegan for a few days. I think I need some support to keep me through my quest. It is a one-week challenge, really, a friend challenged me. And if I can achieve it, I'll keep being a vegan.

That's all...

Congrats on challenging yourself! I've toyed with the idea of trying out being a vegetarian. I couldn't do being a vegan though. I love my dairy foods too much! However, I think it's awesome that it's a challenge you're taking on and you've got a friend that you're in competition with.

And another congrats on rescuing a dog. I'm a dog lover. I have 3 chihuahua's. What kind of dog is Sasha? I used to have a fear of big dogs, little dogs I was totally fine with. I was chased by 3 mean german shepherds when I was younger and was attacked by a pitbull once, so needless to say, I'm actually a small dog lover!

Keep us updated on how the vegan challenge is going/went and your progress!

*Side note* I now have that song stuck in my head!

Sasha is one huge dog (which is a relief, because I like playing rough with dogs and wouldn't want to hurt a tiny one like my cousin's terrier) and we found her on the streets, her and her sister left with no parent dogs around, that's all I know. She does look like a labrador (black), but she has white and brown areas all around, so I'd suspect her being a purebreed... like I care. She is always up and ready to walk with me. She scares off the people I'm not so fond of in my neighborhood. Couldn't be happier.

Her sister, by the way, is with good people. We visit them, they visit us. She lives in a nice villa with two other dogs.

My vegan streak-week is actually over today, but I think I'll keep nibbling on veggies and fruits. I feel like staying vegan. We'll see where that takes me.

Side note: It is a good song, keep singing. :P

Challenges keep me going. :P I am slightly lazy, without a challenge I'd be bored easily.

Thanks!

Welcome! I have a rescue dog too! Rescues make the best dog in my opinion. My dog was actually a street dog in Greece and came to us in Canada.

Good luck on your journey.

Thank you mate! Honestly, I wouldn't "buy" my dog. Finding her is what I interpret as her coming to me, at the right time, I guess, because she has been with us for almost a year and a half, and I do not have any intentions of giving her up. Some things she does indeed remind me of MY childhood. She is like me in many ways.

I may be way too spiritual, then again, that's who I am.
