Red face NEW here but not a newbie!

Hello! My name is Charlene. I'm from Buffalo, NY. I'm a SAHM to 2 kids, a 3 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. I started my lifestyle change in February of 2012. I actually started on a popular calorie counting website. I am a part of their community over there as well but I feel it's not the most supportive place sometimes so i'm interested in getting to know people over here as well. I am 5'5 and I started this journey at 277 lbs, wearing a tight size 22. I am now 156 and comfortably wear a size 8. My goal is about 140-145 I believe. To be completely honest, i've always been heavy. The last time that I was at my current weight I was in elementary school. So i really have no idea what my goal is. I'm happy where i'm at but would like to lose a bit more. I also am interested in starting to tone up soon. I dont have too much loose skin, thankfully, but there is a little bit that i would like to work on. Anyhow, I just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to posting with you all

Hi Charlene! I am new here also and just starting my weight loss journey. Currently 243lbs and doing the south beach diet. I hate the word diet though, it's more of a lifestyle change and a way to eat healthier.

Congrats on your weight loss so far! I too came to this message board in hopes of finding some great friends and support. My overall goal is to be healthy and to start a family. I want to be a mother more than anything in the world! Hopefully in the next few years I can make that happen but need to lose the weight first!

Hi Brit! Oh, i so hope you will be able to become a mommy soon. I was TTC my oldest for 16 months, it was the longest year of my life. Finally had to use fertility drugs and hormone supplements. Guess what happened when she was 6 months? SURPRISE, number 2 on the way. Funny how life works lol. Anyways, good luck to you lady

Thank you! Yeah I have PCOS and my gyno said that if I want to get pregnant I will have to use fertility drugs. I am hoping though that with weight loss I won't need to. *fingers crossed*
