Hi everyone! I came across this site a few days ago while looking for information on the IP diet, and what an amazing resource it is! I've learned so much already and I'm looking forward to learning more, making friends and getting some great support on my journey.
I started IP three days ago. A couple of women in my office had been talking about it for months, and then my mother told me she'd been on it for two weeks and lost 11 pounds! And she hasn't been hungry. That kind of success I can commit to.
My few previous attempts to lose weight fizzled out after a week or two, I think because it was to hard to figure out what to eat on my own and stick to it. The strictness of the IP diet appeals to me (it's very clear what to eat and what to avoid) and the packets make breakfast and lunch very easy. So, I feel pretty confident I'll be able to stick to it and make my goal weight. I'm a little more worried about being able to maintain it long-term, but Iguess I can cross that bridge when I get to it.
I think that you will learn how to maintain while you are on your journey Also, I believe the first 6 or more weeks are the hardest when it comes to weight loss. All of us lose weight differently and you may see different results than what your mother has had. In my first month, I lost nothing and then lost lots the next month where I steadied out.
