New and ready to lose.

  • Hello, My name's Breigh, I'm a 20 year old college student.
I am no stranger to this site, having been here twice before: once when my mother forced me to lose weight with her when I was about 15 and again when I was 18 during my freshman year of college.

Like most overweight kids going into college, you want that tranformation, but the work to get there can be difficult. I tried but would get bored of it. I was 315lbs going into my freshman year.
My weight was pretty stable up until about December of 2011. The weight started lowering and I ended the academic year weight roughly 305; it having bounced around quite a lot.
Then the next year came along and through the year it bounced around 285-298lbs.

But here I am today weighing in at 281lbs. It bouncing anywhere between 275-280.
My goal weight overall is roughly 200-220.
The main reason I'm trying to lose weight is so that I can begin strength training in August when school is back in session plus I finally want it. -- i have started Weight Watchers again, and I have felt a HUGE difference in the amount I've been eating. I have also been thinking about counting calories as well.

I apologise for such a long introduction, but I am BEYOND glad to be here and stick through to the end this time.
I also look forward to seeing everyone else's progress.

    Notum Salvere! (Be well, friends!)

  • Welcome back!! It is always much easier and more motivating when me make choices to be healthier for ourselves! Congrats!
  • Welcome back! I'm just back myself as well.

I had used WW in the past and then transitioned to counting calories, just because it was easier for me.

    You can do it!!
