Hello from Ali in IOWA!
 
Hello everyone! My name is Ali, I am 25 years old from Davenport, Iowa. I am a proud mother of a 5 year old little boy and a 5 month old little girl. I have been married to the love of my life for 4 years. I am at a point in my life where I am fully commited to being a healthier person. I recently quit smoking cigarettes and have been tobacco free for over 2 weeks and I'm never looking back.:nono::smoking: I am currently at 210lbs. I would like to get down between 140-160lbs. I am currently walking for 30 minutes 5 days a week sometimes outside sometimes on a treadmill. I try to jog for 60 seconds within that time. I am fully commited this time, I feel that if I can give up cigarettes forever this easily, I should be able to lose this weight and keep it off. I look forward to speaking with all of you in the future!

Great Job on quitting cigarettes and the exercise. I am new to this site too and excited to meet other people looking to lose weight. :)

That's awesome that you quit smoking!!! That is a huge hurdle by itself, so big kudos to you!! :hug:

Definitely keep up with your exercise! Always remember that any exercise is better than no exercise, so always be happy with the exercise you complete =) Are you following any type of diet plan with it? I currently do weight watchers, and have had great success with it so far (I've lost just over 6 lbs in 15 days, just by changing my diet and I've added about 3-5 30 minutes walks/workouts). I know with kids, sometimes a structured plan isn't always optimal, so maybe just choosing healthier options, like lean proteins and fresh veggies, would work out, too ^_^
