Hello 3FC!! =]
I am kind of bad at introductions, but I'll give it my best shot! I am Samantha, currently 23 years of age, and a life-long dieter who hasn't made it very far in the direction I want to be. I have been overweight my whole life practically, but since my work related injury back in 2011, my weight has gone anywhere but down. I started off at 248 pounds about a month ago, and finally decided it is really time for me to make a change. It wasn't just the constant embarrassment of being overweight anymore, it became a lot more serious. After my injury (ruptured disc in my lower spine) I gained about 30 pounds. The injury has caused me to lose the ability to do a lot of normal everyday activities, such as shopping, bathing comfortably and getting dressed without being in pain. At the end of last year, I went to my PCP and found out not only do I now have high blood pressure, I am now pre-diabetic at the age of 23. It really opened my eyes. I am currently at 227 pounds. I started walking and severely changed my diet. My end diet goal at the moment is 150 pounds, but at this time, I really just want to be under 200! I eat yogurt for breakfast, a protein bar for lunch, and a Lean Cuisine for dinner. I just had surgery on May 17 so I can't do much now but hope for the best until I can return to a bit of exercising! Wish me luck! <3
