Hi! New here...

  • Hi! I feel funny being on a forum, but I decided I need some sort of support or at least advice to read. I have been gaining weight since middle school, and last year I finally decided to change it, mostly because it was a shocking year. I was diagnosed with PCOS and my BMI nudged its way into the obese category! Yikes. After some trial and error, I finally learned the basics of diet and excercise. I have lost 10 pounds already since my 184 lb peak, and I want to lose another 30 from now till senior year starts. Hopefully by prom next year I'll be around 130 lbs. Glad to be here, hopefully I'll learn a thing or two and maybe eventually teach a thing or two!
  • Are you a high school junior? If so me too! I am trying to get over my issues in therapy and lose some weight all before senior year starts! I mean I will probably have a few pounds left when it starts but I will be done by late September according the app on my phone so I started gaining since 6th grade because of my bipolar medications. And now I am on the right pills. I lost weight through anorexia a year ago and got down to 110 started a med called Abilify and went to 180 and now I am also on topamax and relosing the weight-but aiming for 125. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR GOAL!

  • I have PCOS as well! Did you know that PCOS makes it harder to lose weight, that your weight may not fall as fast as others? It's the same reason you gained so fast. However, weight loss is not impossible and it sounds like you have everything under control

Congratulations on your hard work so far and good luck getting to your goal.
  • Welcome and good luck on your journey!!
