Hello from Texas!!! 8-)

    I am joining to meet some new people and maybe have a little bit more accountability...

    I was a bone up until my mid 20s and then it was like I just blew up... I gained about 60 lbs and stayed there for a while... Then I got married and before I knew it I was over 200 lbs. Then I got pregnant and BAM! There was 250...

    I had success with Atkins before but it is hard to do when my hubby and daughter are carb addicts...

    I'm not sure if I want to work a specific "program" or just reduce calories and up the activity level...

  • Welcome! There are a lot of great ppl here and also if you have a smart phone myfitnesspal is a great app and quite a few of us are there too.


  • I don't follow a specific diet plan. I've cut out a lot of my carbs (I still have 2 slices of bread a day, though I changed to rye bread) and sugars and replaced them with fruit and vegetables. I also exercise 3-5 times a week. I only do 30 minutes at a time with a combination of walking, jogging and running. I used to play soccer so I enjoy running around

    There are many plan options on this forum that you can take a look at and see if you like them.
