New here, not new to weight loss

Hello,

I refuse to call it a diet, because as Garfield said diet is die with a t. I've looked at mine as a lifestyle change.

So far over the course of a year I've already lost 60lbs and kept it off. In the last few months I've steadily dropped pounds and sizes. I've gone from a 28 to a 26 and I'm now a 24 but even that's loose. :) I'm looking forward to trying the size 22 I picked up at the thrift store a while back in a fit of hope.

My current mini goal is to hit a size 18 by the end of the summer which will be the thinnest I've been since I had my oldest daughter 24 years ago.

My biggest hurdle has been giving up soda pop - my current cure for that is 'sparkling spring water' which has no sugar or artificial sweetners, but has all the bubbles. I lost the first 40lbs without giving it up, but plateau'd after that and knew that I just had to stop drinking the stuff.

I live on a farm and over the summer, I have lots of projects planned (the one big one is setting up a couple of corrals, a riding ring and a round pen for my horses).

I'm on CalorieCount.com too, but I find that the obsessive calorie logging makes the changes I'm making feel too unnatural. I try to be aware of what I'm eating without being obsessive (which makes me think about it too much).

I'm so looking forward to the farmer's markets starting up so that I can buy more fresh produce from somewhere other than the supermarket and support our local food growers.

My future Mother-in-law says that. Love it. :)

I am ready for the Farmer's markets too. I love fresh produce. Eventually I am going to grow my own.

Congrats on your progress so far!
