Default New, starting metabolism miracle Monday

Just a little about me, I'm Jessica from pa. I recently found out I have insulin resistance and need to change my eating to low carb. I am about 20 pounds overweight.

Any advice or tips would be great. Also how do you get one of those weight tracker things at the bottom of people's posts?

You have to be here more than 20 days and have more than 20 posts before you can add a weight tracker.

Good luck with your weight loss.

I am insulin resistant also. I have PCOS. I just started to not eat white stuff..no sugar, flour or rice. So far it isn't too bad, but I still crave everything. Some say it takes at least 3 weeks to change a habit.

My mom went on a no white diet and she lost a ton of weight. Not to mention the fact that she is in her late 50s. She did it as part of a "biggest loser" contest at work! She won $500 for losing the most!! It's a hard diet to maintain and she's gained some of the weight back since the competition is over, but she's looking into ways to maintain the weight loss that are a little more livable. Me, I'd like to find something to get rid of the weight, then experiment with a livable maintenance plan. It does seem like a healthy diet, since all of that white stuff is processed! Good luck to you!
