New in Town
Hey Everyone!
I am new to the site. I have been trying for a long time to lose the weight. I am now 225 at the age of 19.... I want to become a healthier, energetic, and more active person now and not have health problems later on in life. I joined this forum because I am a sophomore in college. I don't have the budget to pay for high priced weight loss systems. And I really would like the support this community has to offer. Today I tried to put on my fat shorts and they were not even close to being able to fit. My eyes are open. I have to make the change. I have friends who are going to help me, but I really would appreciate all of the advice and guidance from people who understand where I am coming from. I really look forward to making the change. It is going to be hard. There will be good days and bad days, but the end result of being a healthier and happier person is what I look forward to. |
Hey College Girl,
I have friends that are willing to help me too, but they are all small. So I kinda feel like a charity case. That's why I turned the everyone on here. It's hard to take advice from someone who has never had weight problems. Good luck to you! What is your weight loss goal? -Jessica |
:welcome2: to you!
Collegegirl15 You can do it. Just believe that you can. One nice thing... there is alot of information in this forum. Have you decided on an eating plan? Exercise plan? Lots to choose from. I wish you well and hope to see that you have had terrific results! |
Welcome! It's great that you're starting this journey so young. There's more help and support on this forum than you could ever even need. I wish you the best of luck!

Welcome! Glad to have you join us. You will find information and education on this site that will help you succeed with your goals. I would recommend you find a plan that you can live with for life and go ahead and make lifestyle changes that you can live with. If you do this, you will not be on the weight loss roller coaster for life. Yes, you will have times of weight gain, but make up your mind to only gain ___ pounds and then get back to eating the way you know works for you. Also, drink at least eight 8 oz glasses of water each day and find an exercise that you enjoy doing and start moving. It is wonderful if you start small and work up to challenging yourself. I look forward to reading your posts and following your progress, firegirl

Thank You!
Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement! It really warms my heart. Being a student and gaining more than the freshman 15 is embarrassing. But I want to take control back!
