Hi Everyone! My name is Sam. I'm 25-years-old and I live in Chicago. By day I'm the Executive Assistant to the Head of Operations at a larger commercial bank in the financial district of downtown Chicago. I am also a singer, musical theatre specifically. I am originally from Michigan, having moved to Chicago on Halloween 2011.
My weight loss journey has been all over the map. I reached my highest weight of 185 pounds (at 5'5") twice in my life, once in college and most recently last year, January 2012. Last New Year's Eve I swore to myself I would lose weight and keep it off, and that I would NEVER weigh 185 pounds ever again! Last year I managed to lose about 30 pounds and keep it off. Not as much as I would have liked, but it did feel nice to start this year 30 pounds lighter (153 pounds to be exact). After New Years I hit a bit of a road block and only lost 2 pounds the whole month of January, then, over February, I gained about 7 pounds back.
Last Wednesday (my weigh-in day) I was 158.2 pounds (only 4 pounds lost since I most recently re-committed to losing weight back in November 2012). I hadn't weighed-in during all of February so I wasn't surprised by the gain, but enough is enough!
Tomorrow I weigh-in again and I don't anticipate to see a good number. I've had SUCH a hard time lately ... so, I decided to join here! I've known about these forums for years and finally decided to get support from them.
So ... here I am. I'd love to get to my goal (125 pounds) by my birthday (August 16). But honestly, baby steps. By the time summer hits (June-ish) I want to be in the 130s, even if it's only 139.9, hahaa. So, that's my first mini goal. Obviously I'll have a better idea of where I stand when I weigh-in tomorrow, but ... well anyway.
That's me! Nice to meet all of you

-Sam
