Hiiiiiii all!
I finally built up the courage to register, so thought I would introduce myself.
I am a 24 year old woman from beautiful Australia (Darwin to be exact!).
I am an emotional eater, with enough baggage for all of us here, but I am learning to control that horrible habit day by day. I am lucky enough to have an amazing, supportive husband who is doing this alongside me (although he is a skinny person). He has been so amazing throughout this journey.
I am currently obese - 96.2kgs, or 212 lbs. I am aiming to get to 65kgs, or 143 lbs by the end of the year (my 3 year wedding anniversary!). My hubby has never seen me weigh anything less than 90kgs, so this is a huge thing for us.
I am not doing any 'diet' per say, but I am only eating food where i know exactly what is in it. This means lots of 'whole' foods - no refined grains etc. I am not carb-o-phobic, but this change has made it easier for me to keep those in check. If I do eat things like pasta I will make it from scratch myself. By doing this I have found a love for cooking, but find it also stops me from mindless snacking!
My exercise routine consists of walking in the morning before work (usually about 40 mins), and then a small free weights routine of a night time. To date I have lost 5.1kgs, but need to step that up a bit
So, here is to my journey of weight loss and self discovery!
