A new year and step towards a new me!!

  • Hi everyone,

    I'm new here as well. After being fat all my life I gained a massive 30-35 pounds in the last 5-6 months. It was just bad eating habits ... candy, McDonald's and Soda. I couldn't even believe how much I had ballooned. To top it all off I now have a knee condition that prevents me from doing any kind of exercise. Also i'm also joining a new course in 3 months and want to lose 30 pounds by then

    It's gonna be tough but I'm not going to sabotage myself anymore because I've realized that I've blamed everybody else for treating me badly because of my weight but I was the worst one of all. No one has done more damage ti me than me. So this is it.

    Any tips or words of encouragement you guys can give me would be great

    Just believe in yourself and believe that you can do it. You will read in these threads how people have gotten thru temptations and sometimes not. Just remember to get right back on the wagon You are the most important person to yourself! Forgive yourself and tell yourself you are changing.

    It is always easier to think that its someone elses fault. I know growing up families and friends make food important, or say you are too skinny EAT, or they themselves have bad food habits. You are only responsible for yourself and noone else.

    Here you will find lovely, wonderful and caring people who are on the same journey you are. I hope to see you around the threads! (Its fun too!!)

We will be here for you for encouragement and motivation and others are always posting something that I find useful in my journey towards a healthier me.
