I'm new to this forum but ha e ready picked up a few tip. I have been over weight the majority of my life. At age 41 I had a gastric bypass and loss a total of 40 pounds. I felt like a total complete failure! Prior to the surgery my highest weight was 300 pounds therefore the 40 pound loss was nothing. I lack motivation.......
Welcome, wish you good luck in this, don't know what else to say, i am a mess also and lack motivation and also ability to control myself.....so no really wise words for me.....
By your ticker, it looks like you are doing well. Maybe you just need the support of others like you (us). That's why we are here! Congratulations on your progress (You have gone DOWN not up)..... every pound counts... :O)
Thank you all for the warm welcome. The reason for my weight lose was due to a tragic event that occurred a little over a year ago. My oldest son completed suicide...... My life is a living nightmare!
And motivation is highly overrated! You don't need to wait for a "feeling" to lose weight and even if it comes, it is likely to disappear. It just needs to be a *decision* you make and develop a plan and go do it!!
Just popping in to say welcome. I'm sorry to hear about your son. Some might not read the whole thread and see what happened, so you might get some posts just replying to the first one and not intending to be callous.
